The editor-in-chief, deputy editor-in-chief and executive secretary of the journal determine the article’s compliance with the journal’s profile, design requirements and send it for review to a specialist, doctor of sciences, who has the scientific specialization closest to the topic of the article.
Reviewers are notified that the manuscripts sent to them are the private property of the authors and contain information that is not subject to disclosure. Reviewers are not allowed to make copies of articles; reviewing is conducted confidentially.
The review period is determined by the executive secretary of the journal.
The review must indicate: a) whether the content of the article corresponds to its title; b) to what extent the article corresponds to modern achievements in the field of science under consideration; c) what is the form of presentation of the material, does it correspond to the content; d) whether it is advisable to publish the work under review; e) what are the main advantages and disadvantages of the article.
Reviewing is carried out anonymously. The author of the article is given the opportunity to read the text of the review. Violation of anonymity is possible only if the reviewer claims plagiarism or falsification of the material presented in the article.
If the review contains recommendations for correcting and finalizing the article, the executive secretary of the journal sends the text of the review to the author with a proposal to take into account the recommendations when preparing a new version of the article or to refute them with reason. The article revised by the author is re-submitted for review.
In the case where the reviewer did not recommend the article for publication, the editorial board may send the article for revision taking into account the comments made, and also send it to another reviewer. The text of the negative review is sent to the author. The final decision on the publication of the article is made by the editorial board of the journal and is recorded in the minutes of the editorial board meeting.
After the editorial board of the journal makes a decision to admit an article for publication, the executive secretary of the journal informs the author about this and indicates the publication deadline. The text of the review is sent to the author.
The original reviews are kept by the journal’s editorial board for 5 years.
